The Best Place To Eat In Nashville – During our stay in Nashville we visited some great restaurants! I love a restaurant that serves not only great food but great atmosphere through interiors and aesthetics. It’s the interior designer in me! ;P I have collected 8 of my favorite restaurants to share in this blog post with you, but there are many other great restaurants. I hope this post was helpful to those of you planning to visit the city! 🙂
We had lunch at this lovely cafe on Valentine’s Day! I loved the atmosphere of the Paris cafe in Liberty Common, the interior is just amazing. This cafe combines French classics with Southern specialties such as Waffle Madame and Fried Chicken Biscuit. They also serve burgers, sandwiches and salads! I had an amazing vanilla latte and a chocolate croissant (one of my favorite combinations). They also serve wine, cocktails and beer which makes Liberty Common a great lunch spot 😉 There is a reasonably priced parking garage right above the restaurant or you can find street parking when you visit the restaurant.

Stay Golden, near the Berry Hill area of Nashville, is another great cafe tucked away in an industrial space. I love the fun interior of this cafe. the teal bar, plants and open shelving are absolutely gorgeous! I had a delicious BLT sandwich and a vanilla latte, one of my favorite combinations. It’s a great place for lunch with friends or coffee while studying/working! There is a parking lot in front, so it is very easy to visit this place.

Makeready, an industrial joint in the city center on the lower floors of the beautiful boutique hotel Noelle, is the perfect place to pick up seasonal food and beer! I had a delicious club sandwich, broccoli cheddar soup, and a vanilla latte that warmed me up as we dined in the restaurant on a cold February day. There is valet parking at Hotel Noelle and it is covered if you eat in the restaurant.
Von Elrod’s, a Germantown brewpub, is the place to be for a fun dining experience! They have a great alfresco beer garden and spacious seating in their industrial restaurant space, so it’s a great place to come and hang out with a group of friends! They have 36 beers on tap and serve hot dogs, pretzels, burgers and more. I had a pretzel burger there that was out of this world! We found some free street parking nearby and walked a few blocks.
Loading Dock is a super cute cafe located in the Wedgewood-Houston area of Nashville. There is a restaurant area inside as well as an art gallery with extra seating! They serve classic sandwiches, coffee and more, so it’s the perfect place for a quick stop. I had a delicious club sandwich and possibly the best vanilla latte I’ve had in Nashville! There are also lots of fun murals painted on the building so you can snap some photos while visiting the cafe. Huge parking lot out front so finding a parking spot was super easy!
If you like lunch and tex mex food then Superica located in the Gulch is the place for you! Not only that, the place is absolutely beautiful. I love the colorful murals in the lobby, really my vibe! At lunch, they serve Tex Mex classics like heuvos rancheros, migas and chilaquiles. Their horsata is also delicious! They have plenty of seating inside the restaurant, at the bar and an outside patio as well. You can find parking near the street for $2.25 an hour.
The Best Restaurants In Nashville: Winter 2022
Taco Bar located on 12 South, a popular Nashville neighborhood filled with boutiques, cafes and restaurants, is the perfect place to enjoy great Mexican food! This restaurant has a really great California surfer vibe and serves a variety of classic and creative tacos. The spicy chicken tacos are my favorite! This is the perfect place to stop for a bite to eat after doing a little shopping!
Cafe Roze, located in East Nashville, is another popular cafe and for good reason! The marble + pink interior is lovely with lots of light and an airy feel to the space. They serve sandwiches, salads, cocktail bowls and coffee, so this is another great place for you brunch lovers 😉 We stopped in for a coffee when we were in the area, but we’ll have to go back soon for something to eat! Nashville’s food scene is constantly growing. It is on par with what you would expect from a big city. You’ll find restaurants in Nashville that serve everything from traditional Southern cuisine to fine international cuisine.

When in town, Josephine is my first choice for lunch in Nashville. Try the Josephine Benedict with country ham and cocoa butter hollandaise or the glazed cinnamon raisin cookies.
Of course, the dining options at this stylish 12 South restaurant are also excellent. If apple cider is on the menu at your dinner party, be sure to save room for dessert.
An Eater’s Guide To Eating And Drinking In Nashville
The atmosphere at Josephine is elegant and luxurious, but not intimidating. This is a great choice for a romantic date in Nashville or a fun night out with friends.
👉 Pro Tip: Josephine is located at 12 S Avenue in Hillsboro Village. If you have time, check out the charming shops in the area, which is one of the best areas to stay in Nashville if you still need accommodations!
If you’re looking for Tex-Mex with a fun, delicious twist, head to Redheaded Stranger in East Nashville. The menu is small, but every choice is full of flavor. The tacos are fun and upscale, but the real surprise is the chili cheeseburger.
The atmosphere is as unique as the food. The restaurant has a cool and relaxed atmosphere and an inviting terrace for al fresco dining.

Word has gotten out about how good the Red-Haired Stranger was, so peak meal times can be busy. My secret to avoiding the crowds is to go late at night for a margarita and totch on the patio.
👉 Pro tip: If the crunchwrap is on the daily special, order one before they sell out. Crunchwraps never last long.

Biscuit Cinta is only open in the morning. Features Southern dishes such as Biscuits with Sausage Gravy and Shrimp and Grits. Don’t miss delicious sides like the cheesecake and order at least one bonut (biscuit donut with blueberry sauce) for the table.
You can’t visit a city like Nashville without trying some barbecue. Edley’s is a family owned and operated restaurant that originally opened on 12 South. There are also locations in East Nashville and Sylvan Park now.
It’s no surprise that the meat options are great at this old-fashioned barbecue joint, but what really makes this Nashville restaurant stand out are the sides. Be sure to get the banana pudding. Cornmeal, coleslaw, mac and cheese, and potato salad are also great.
If you’re looking for a friendly place to enjoy delicious Tennessee barbecue with friends and family, Edley’s is the place to be.

Located in Germantown, City House is the perfect choice for an intimate dining experience. Opened in 2007 by James Beard Award winner Tandy Wilson, this restaurant offers traditional Italian cuisine with a southern twist.
Sunday evening is the most popular time to eat at City House thanks to the Sunday Supper Menu, special options that change every week. The menu remains fairly constant throughout the rest of the week. I highly recommend ordering at least one pizza.
Plan to book in advance to ensure you can enjoy your City House experience. There is a limited number of seats at the bar, but it goes fast.
