The UNC-Charlotte game, as well as subsequent classic Volunteer games, will serve as a set up for a mix of tough non-conference games before the team goes on the run to try for the Southeastern Conference title. We’ll see if the sports department can schedule a few more non-conference games, but as it stands, Tennessee will play Appalachian State, Tennessee Tech, and upstate South Carolina before moving on to the Dec. 30 SEC game with a trip to the Missouri Tigers.

It’s unlikely we’ll see Gonzaga’s game show on the schedule again, but there’s still hope: Tennessee will play Kansas on Jan. 30, which should be an impressive matchup once both teams get a chance to work out any issues within their respective teams.
