I have always been a big fan of Green Bean Casserole. It is absolutely one of my must haves for Thanksgiving. A few years ago I made these green bean packets with mushroom sauce and they’ve been hooked ever since. This is a complete game of Green Bean Casserole. For those of you who love the taste, but want to think a little more outside the traditional box.

Fresh green beans are wrapped in bacon and topped with a homemade mushroom sauce and cooked until crispy and crunchy. The mushroom sauce absolutely gives this dish a depth of flavor to die for. I can’t help but want to lick it off my plate. Is it a bit much? I’m sure there are people who can relate to me on this front.
