Google’s image recognition technology already does a lot, but its most useful feature is real-time language translation using your smartphone. The Google Lens app (opens in a new window) is now able to translate offline.
Google Lens App For Android
As 9To5Google reports (opens in a new window), the Google Lens app on Android offers offline translation. After Lens is launched, you can open the translation filter, click the “Add” tab and select “Choose a language”. Each language will have a “click to download” option next to it that transfers the language pack from the cloud to your device, regardless of whether your phone or tablet is connected to a mobile phone. Allows translation for Wi-Fi network.
Different Ways To Access Google Lens In Realme Ui
A prerequisite for offline translation to work is that your device has enough space for the language pack you want. The Lens app tells you how big each language pack is and shows how much space you have left on your device, so it should be easy to determine if a pack is available for download. In most cases this should not be a problem as the language packs are very small. For example, Spanish is a 45MB download.
Storing languages locally is certainly a convenience when traveling and in uncertain network access, but it’s also useful for those who have a mobile contract with data records. Language packs can be downloaded at home via WiFi and accessed on the go without fear of using up valuable data while translating.
A version of the Google Lens app with offline translation is expected to be released soon, and 9To5Google is already available in beta on several devices.

I have been working since November 2016, covering all aspects of technology and video game news. Before that, I was a writer and editor at Geek.com for nearly 15 years. I spent my first six years out of university as a professional game designer working with Disney, Games Workshop, 20th Century Fox and Vivendi.
I have two degrees: a bachelor’s degree in computer science and a master’s degree in game development. My first book, Make Your Own Pixel Art, is available from all good bookshops. First available through Google Photos, the feature is now said to be coming to Google Lens.
It says it found the feature in versions 8.24 and 8.28 beta of the Google app. This feature is said to be available when using the Google Lens app and when you access Google Lens through Google Sense.
The Google Lens app lets you identify specific objects in a photo to get information about them or select text to translate it. The new feature adds a small image icon to the top right or left side of the screen.

Using Google Lens to search for existing photos isn’t exactly a new idea — you can already do this by viewing a photo in Google Photos. However, you can do this without using any other software the first time. Google is also believed to be bringing a similar search feature to Image Search that works with Google Lens.

Google is adding a new feature to Lens on Android, where users can automatically post photos and related queries to Google Photo Search on the web.
First reported by 9to5Google, some users are now seeing a new “round globe with a magnifying glass” in the bottom right of their Google Lens analyzed images. Clicking the balloon button labeled “Find Image Source” directs users to Google Image Search with relevant search queries for the previously posted image.
For example, if you play an image of the new Apple Watch Ultra in Lens and click the balloon button, the app will direct you to search the web and automatically find the image of the Apple Watch Ultra as is shown. Screenshots below:

Also, users tend to prefer Google search results due to loss of lenses. Chrome already offers the same reverse image search feature on the web. Right-click an image found online and click “Search image with Google Lens.” This functionality is now being extended to the mobile app.
The “Find Photo Source” button isn’t available for all Google Lens Android users yet, but it should be rolling out in the coming weeks. We are not sure if this feature will come to iOS. A white circle with a black border showing a chevron. It shows “Click here to return to top of page”.

Google has released its Lens app on Google Play, and now there’s another way to access the feature if your Android device doesn’t offer it. The Lens app works the same way Google Lens does elsewhere: it uses artificial intelligence to provide information about images, such as clothes, books and buildings. After you open the app, Lens brings it into view to identify nearby objects.
Although you can download it, it looks like the Lens app isn’t for everyone.
