The food at this restaurant is out of this world. The lobster scoops are to die for and the starters are generously sized, while the mains are like venison topped with roasted foie – something incredible.

Their wine program also features some cracking wines: the New Zealand Pinot paired beautifully with the California Cabernet Sauvignon, which rounded things off nicely after a great meal.
“This is one of the best lunch locations I’ve ever had (I’m very fat so I know what I’m talking about). The terrace was nice. The service is great. food? FOOD!! First: We couldn’t choose one item, so we ordered 4 to share. The orange juice is the juiciest orange I have ever tasted. It puts the Tropicana to shame. I have tried shakshuka in many restaurants and I have to say this is top 3. The avocado toast is amazing and filling. The bagels & lox are to die for. Feels like NYC. After dessert we had blueberry pancakes and I almost died from a blood glucose spike. And if I die, I will die happy. Thank you one restaurant. I will definitely come back. 5/5″
“Wow! The whole meal was amazing. The lobster scoop is to die for and the appetizers are generous enough to share. We then moved on to the venison with grilled venison – a perfect pairing! Their wine program is great too as we started with a New Zealand pinot and ends with a California Cab.”

“I dined at the chef’s table with 10 courses. From start to finish their service was excellent – I’d say in the top 3 in Toronto. The flow of food and the combination of ingredients for each dish is simply amazing. I loved the chef’s explanations for each dish. The combination of cocktails really enhances the taste of any dish. I will definitely be back to try the seasonally updated course menu.”
“Amazing cuisine. I have been to so many different and unique places and this is a real gem. I highly recommend this restaurant to anyone who appreciates unexpected and different artistic cuisine. An outline of Enigma’s unique flavor.”

I went to Sofia’s Yorkville for a “post-Valentine’s Day” dinner with my wife to escape the crowds. I booked with “Open Table” in January anticipating the availability challenge. The restaurant was beautiful, the servers were knowledgeable, and the portions and taste of the food were excellent. Only thing is, next time I will call ahead to make sure we are seated in the dining room instead of the bar, even after ordering with plenty of time. It was nice, but the round table was very small, a bit lower than a normal dining table, and full of things when we sat down (2 glasses of wine, 2 glasses of water, a bread plate with napkins and utensils, and a small 6 inch lamp). As soon as the hostess placed the menu in front of us, which was long, a glass fell and broke when the menu was opened. On the positive side, 2-3 staff clean and replace everything immediately. The server said this happened too often – I’m not sure if she was saving me the trouble or if she was really mad that management hadn’t changed their settings. Overall a good fine dining restaurant. We’ll be back.”
“Definitely nervous. Especially when you eat after 8pm. It has a youthful pulse. The place was packed. The service is outstanding. The food is definitely amazing. I recommend a date with someone special, as well as a restaurant for women. But definitely go after 8pm on the weekend, as there is an atmosphere and they have a great bar.

My family and I had a great time at their afternoon tea. Overall, we enjoyed the selection of savory and sweet food, with only minor points to note (eg one of the desserts was too sweet for our taste). The tea I chose – Organic Kyoto Cherry Rose – was delicious!”
“Great Saturday date with my lady. Timely service every time. The staff goes out of their way to make sure your experience is exceptional. Our waitress Joy was sincere, knowledgeable and attentive. We were seated in the most intimate corner of the bar and the taste was excellent. The menu is a great gastronomic experience. We love our burgers to our taste.”

We ordered Brussels sprouts just to have some veggies and it turned out to be very tasty! They also gave us a free dessert for our birthday, the chocolate mousse cake was so smooth.
