Best Restaurant To Watch Epcot Forever – Epcot’s fireworks display, Illuminations: Reflections of Earth, was a tribute to the nations of the world, with not only fireworks, but also lasers, dancing water and music. Premiering on October 1, 1999, it has been the longest-running Walt Disney World fireworks show and has won numerous awards, including 11 consecutive Golden Ticket Nighttime Productions for Best Open Show, according to Wikipedia.

Article, you’ll learn about the new (still temporary) fireworks show, Epcot Forever, the best places to see the show, how to get those seats, and the pros and cons of each.

Epcot’s Makeover: Here’s The Latest On New Attractions

That, on the whole, the details of the sightings have not changed much. The little research I’ve done seems to bear this out. But I wanted to make it clear that I wrote that part specifically about the Illuminations.

For example, during the holiday season, the candlelight procession may push the fireworks display until 9:30pm on certain nights.

Also, Epcot closes an hour earlier (8:00 p.m.) on Good Friday, so the fireworks are also shown at 8:00 p.m.

So… are there fireworks every night at Epcot? The answer seems to be yes, except in very rare cases due to weather conditions.

Walt Disney World Update: The Magic Of Returning Normalcy

Tour Plans, one of my favorite Disney planning sites and author of my favorite Disney World planning book of all time, points out something important.

“Illuminations Day ends at Epcot. After that, only two gift shops remain open. With nothing being done, everyone leaves at once … more factions break up than at any other time and more children are lost following the Illuminations. In the summer, you’ll be walking through a crowd of 30,000 people. If you’re going to the parking lot, anticipate this crowd and pre-select a spot in the Epcot entrance area where you can meet up if someone gets separated from the group. We recommend the fountain in the main entrance.”

Despite its name, Epcot Forever is in production for one year, basically bridging the gap between the Illuminations’ retirement and the start of the “real” new fireworks.

Some described it as a time and way to mourn the loss of Epcot’s true vision ahead of Disney World’s 50th anniversary in 2021.

Here’s What Is Coming To Epcot — Including Guardians Of The Galaxy!

The new permanent nightly fireworks display coming to Epcot after the end of Epcot Forever is called “HarmonioUS.” It will celebrate how Disney music inspires people around the world.

The closest I’ve come to finding an end date for Epcot Forever and Harmonious is Summer 2020.

Die-hard fans of the original Epcot from the 1980s and 1990s are likely to have some kind of emotional reaction (be it happiness, sadness, or a combination) while watching Epcot Forever, in part because of the soundtrack of songs from the old attractions. .

I don’t think Lauren ever went to Epcot in the early days and her comment after the show was that she loved dragons and never liked the Epcot fireworks because there always seemed to be a tree in your way.

Best 1 Day Epcot Itinerary 2023

I’ve only been to Epcot once, briefly, in the 1980s and 1990s, as part of a college convention. The only attractions I can think of are Cranium Command and Body Wars.

So I don’t know much about early Epcot or have a lot of personal nostalgia attached to it.

Reading the discussion of Epcot Forever online, it sounds like it’s a very difficult show for people to review objectively, at least for big Disney fans, because either:

And for more “normal people” who have only been to Disney World a handful of times, mostly in the last few decades, Epcot Forever doesn’t do much for them because the songs have no identity or meaning. (As I mentioned above, I fall into this camp.)

Fan Favorite Show Returning To Disney World In 2023

[We’re] huge, huge fans of Illuminations and we’re very sad to hear it’s going away… We’ve been gearing up for Epcot Forever… Well, not to put too much of a point on it, we thought it was terrible and very disappointed. done . The music, the fireworks, the kites and everything seemed to be happening at the same time. There were no harmonies, the fireworks didn’t match the music at all, the kites seemed to light up…plus, there was no story, no story, it was just a youtube style mash-up of Epcot music/sounds. It doesn’t flow at all. Aladdin’s incidental music was odd, and the children’s voices as announcers was an odd choice. I know it’s just filler, but it sounds like some high school intern did it in the days leading up to the show. In fact, it is intended for high school interns.

Tackett was a little kinder in his review, and also has a tip for getting a good viewing spot:

My kid grew up in Illuminations and was a favorite of my late FIL so it was very emotional to say goodbye to him. For those reasons, it would be difficult for me to live something new… so I went into tonight’s show with skepticism. The pre-show announcements have replaced the old dramatic narrator voice with a childish one. No drama at all. The show starts and the pyrotechnics are great, but a lot of young kids sing what I would call a poor attempt at being a wish light. To be honest, the sounds aren’t that great. But Epcot Classics has a lot of mixes and halfway through they brought in Tapestry of Nations and now I’m hooked! The kites are well made and very beautiful and there are many high brightness fireworks. Great show for someone like me who doesn’t really care for projections (I came to Disney to see the fireworks show. Not moving buildings on TV. I can watch TV on my couch.) Like everyone else, I think it’s trying. to use “Whole New World” as the closing track. May accompany Epcot songs. Aladdin’s music is from Magic Kingdom. But overall, the second half really made the show for me. On another note… we looked over the back of the fence on the way out of Somerhouse. Even with DW in the scooter we can see everything. Very little caster effect. So if you can’t get up in the fence right away, don’t panic. If you’re not staring at the back of someone’s head, you might want to back off. The designers did a good job of making it visible from anywhere. My Grade: C+ Not bad for a spot show. It would be a B+ if they made the finale more appropriate for Epcot.

Honestly, I found it much easier to find negative reviews than positive ones. The positive reviews I saw were about the nostalgia of the songs (although many people said it was ruined by the “whole new world” finale).

Epcot Vs. Magic Kingdom: Which Disney World Park Is Best?

1) Unlike the fireworks show at Magic Kingdom, it’s a “light show” at Epcot that also features fireworks and low-level visuals over the World Showcase Lagoon.

So when assessing any vantage point, take a moment to look around and see if any trees, torches or light poles are blocking your view of the lake.

If you can see the middle of the lagoon, you can see the show, and if you can’t … well, you can’t. How do you know if you have a good seat?

2) Fireworks can produce a lot of smoke, so if the wind is strong enough for you to feel it and it’s blowing towards you towards the lake, it’s not good. Not only will the smoke get in your face, but the smoke can cloud your vision so much that you won’t be able to see the second half of the show.

A great spot might be five feet away from a “bad” spot because an island of trees is blocking your view, or what was a good spot last week might be a “bad” spot tonight because of that wind.

The bridge gives you some height and a great view not only of the lake and the sky, but of each pavilion as they light up during the show. Illuminations Fireworks Cruise usually parks their boats under or in front of this bridge during shows, so … you know it has to be good.

Another great thing about this viewing area is that if you’re staying at an Epcot resort hotel like the Yacht Club, Beach Club, or Boardwalk Inn, you can get out relatively quickly and easily.

The second floor, or restaurant level), the deck of the Mitsukoshi Building in the Japanese Pavilion gives you great views, as you can see
