One faceoff from Bobby Hurley’s ASU basketball program last season would end his college basketball career elsewhere. ASU junior forward and Phoenix native Jaylen Graham has entered the transfer window, according to @VerbalCommits on Twitter.

Graham, who prepped at nearby Mountain Point High School in Phoenix, played three seasons for his hometown team — starting most of their games in the last two. Last year, Graham averaged 9.9 points and 4.6 rebounds per game in 29 appearances and 22 starts with the Sun Devils.

The second-team All-Pac-12 forward is expected to make an immediate impact wherever he lands. With the NCAA Tournament still in play, Graham is one of the top prospects in Portal and could draw attention from top programs.

He joins freshmen Demari Williams and Will Felton as the three Sun Devils to enter the gates after the regular season ends. Williams and Felton both have redshirt years in 2021 and have not played. Arizona basketball fans have a deep hatred for their rival Arizona State Sun Devils, because of that hatred, we list the top 10 ASU players we hate the most.

Oregon State Basketball: Arizona State Sun Devils Preview (game 27)

In the rich history of the Arizona/ASU basketball rivalry, there have been a total of 237 meetings between the two schools. Up until that point, it was a truly one-sided affair, as Arizona basketball headed into the head-to-head series with a record of 152-85.

Arizona undoubtedly has a rich history and a very strong tradition. However, aside from the many wins, there are many other reasons why Arizona basketball was a better program than ASU. Perhaps there is no greater talent than actors.

While it may ultimately come down to a little bias, most Wildcat fans can agree that there are certain ASU players who are hated the most. From the beginning until today, there have been several moments, several things said or done that the actors did not express well.

Sun Devil fans are looking forward to Monday morning for a short time. Marcus Bagley narrowed his list to three teams a few weeks ago before saying on Twitter that he would announce his choice on July 29.

With ASU, Arizona and Cal all in the mix, Bagley unveiled this video to announce his commitment to the maroon and gold:

Bagley is the younger brother of former Duke star and current Sacramento Kings player Marvin and the grandson of Sun Devil legend “Spring” Joe Caldwell. He is listed at 6-foot-7 and over 200 pounds by several recruiting sites.

He currently plays his high school ball at Sheldon High School in Sacramento, but grew up in the Tempe area. According to MaxPreps, he averaged nearly 20 points and eight rebounds in his junior season.

Bagley is listed as a four-star small forward by 247Sports and Rivals, as well as ranked in their top 50 overall recruit. Outside of Arizona and Cal, he received offers from Florida State, Pittsburgh and several others. He is currently the only ASU commit in the 2020 class.

Oregon Men’s Basketball Falls To Arizona State, Ncaa Tournament At Large Hopes Extinguished

After a disappointing 2021-2022 campaign for head coach Bobby Hurley and company, the team has been waiting for this day since its big collapse against Stanford in last year’s Pac-12 tournament.

Looking to put a disappointing 14-17 campaign behind it, Arizona State enters the 2022-2023 season with a new flavor and a much-needed clean slate with an eye on an NCAA Tournament bid.

Although it’s a new day in Tempe, it’s not exactly clear skies. The team’s four leading scorers last year in Marion Jackson, Jaylen Graham, Kimani Lawrence and Jay Heath all played their final games as Sun Devils. Replacing the main offensive weapons of a team that scored just 65 points a night (second-best in the conference) would seem desperate on paper, but the new wave of hoops coming to town fills at least some of the void.

Newcomer Igniting Arizona State Basketball’s Late Season Surge

With the ever-present transfer gate, head coach Bobby Hurley jumped into the open water ahead of his eighth season as head coach of the Sun Devils. Since the abbreviated 2020 season, Hurley and his staff have sought a change by bringing in former four-star player Frankie Collins from Michigan, Nevada big man Warren Washington, and Dewan (Auburn A pair of scoring wings in 2020). ) and Desmond (Nevada) Cambridge.

While reaching his full potential in Ann Arbor, it’s easy to forget that Frankie Collins was the No. 7 ranked point guard in the 2021 recruiting class. Averaging just 11 minutes per game under Juwan Howard, Collins’ move to the Suns should give him more minutes, but it’s his playmaking and leadership skills that could give Arizona State’s offense new life.

“His (Frankie’s) presence has been felt since he stepped on campus,” forward Marcus Bagley said. “He is a natural leader and a person who is easy to follow, I am happy to have him and happy to work with him.

Collins running the backcourt with a relentless scorer like junior DJ Horn should lead to an improvement in scoring that fans did not see much of a year ago with Marion Jackson and Jay Heath. Luther Muhammad’s senior leadership and defensive defense could also help the Sun Devils in that end, after a season in which they surrendered 7.4 threes per game. His smashing mid-range game will also provide sparks on offense.

On the wings, the Cambridge brothers will bring the energy and tenacity that the team lacked last year due to their many struggles. As a member of an Auburn team that spent three weeks atop the AP poll in 2021, Dewan has played in big games before and will bring new fire and excitement to both ends of the floor. While doing most of his work in the arc, Brother Desmond knocked down threes at a 34% clip over the last four years at Brown and Nevada, averaging 16.4 points in 112 college games.

With the Cambridge brothers scoring three points combined, the offensive pressure on DJ Horn should be eased and help open the floor. Jamia Neal is currently nursing a lower leg injury and has been sidelined for the first few games of the season. When he was on the court last year, however, Neal’s athleticism was on full display and if he continues to improve on the field, a breakout could be in order for the 6-foot-6-inch sophomore when he returns.

Down under, Alonzo Gaffney and Enoch Bocki both emerged as shot blockers last year, and if
