2019 Macbook Air – The MacBook Air 2019 is the best combination of portability, price and power that Apple has to offer. The future has new keyboards and more, but if you’re looking for an Apple laptop right now, this is where most people start looking.
The MacBook Air was redesigned in 2018, adding two Thunderbolt 3 ports, a retina display, physical keys and TouchID. It originally launched at $1199 for 8GB RAM/128GB SSD. In 2019, the Air received a new update, adding True Tone to the display. Apple has also dropped the price by $100 for everyone and $200 for students, bringing the starting price to $999 including tuition. It also reduces the cost of SSD upgrades in the queue.
2019 Macbook Air
With a new design and minor changes, the MacBook Air is the best choice for a new Mac laptop. If you need a laptop for simple tasks like email, web browsing and document creation, the Air is perfect for that. If you’re going to do more serious work like photo and video editing or app development, you might want more performance, and you should check out the MacBook Pro.
Apple Macbook Air (2019) Review: The New Normal
The MacBook Air 2019 retains the same solid aluminum wedge design as its predecessor and in the same finishes: silver, gray, and gold. The metal body is as solid and durable as ever – no flex, which is great. On the left side of the Air, there are two Thunderbolt 3 USB-C ports, and on the right side is a single 3.5mm headphone jack.
The Retina display measures 13.3 inches (diagonal) with a resolution of 2,560 x 1,600 at 227 pixels per inch (PPI), but now includes True Tone to help with white balance. . MacBook Air keyboards are quieter than MacBook Pro keyboards released between 2016 and 2018 — and nowhere near the old butterfly keys.
The current MacBook Air is a better third-party tablet that was first introduced in the 2019 MacBook Pros. This “generation 3.5” keyboard is quieter than previous keyboards and is reliably made with unprecedented new materials for better reliability. Like the keyboards before them, they are covered by Apple’s keyboard repair program for 4 years if anything goes wrong.
The MacBook Air’s keyboard isn’t silent, but the silicone membrane on each key really helps cushion the keys, while also adding a nice ride. Typing on the keyboard isn’t as good as typing on a Magic Keyboard or MacBook Pro with keyboard shortcuts, but I think Apple is getting closer to an acceptable middle ground. I have no problem adapting to the new style, but everyone has different preferences. I recommend trying one before buying to make sure it’s something you like.

In addition to soft keys, there is a row of real function keys in place of a Touch Bar, and Touch ID has been added to the power button. The Touch Bar is a must-have in the current MacBook Pro line, but it’s not an option for the Air. A lot of people see this as their favorite spot on Air, but again, everyone’s preferences are different.
This is enough. The new MacBook Air is powered by an 8th generation Intel Core i5 (Y series) dual-core 1.6GHz dual-core processor with Turbo Boost up to 3.6GHz and Intel UHD Graphics 617 and a base of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of SSD storage. These are the same specifications as the 2018 MacBook Air, which makes it more or less the same.
If you’re the type of person who doesn’t care about specs, and just wants a thin and light laptop for casual web browsing, light photo editing, writing, watching videos, and editing documents. . Easy video editing in iMovie does not crash the laptop and does not work. If serious work like video editing or code compilation is what you expect most from your laptop, you should consider the 13-inch or 16-inch MacBook Pro.
Battery life is adequate, but not great. I got about 7 hours of battery life when using the MacBook Air at work, but less at home when I pushed myself with more tasks. Battery life isn’t great, but I miss the old Air Pre-Retina which was a battery champ and lasted a long time between charges. Apple can improve this area, and I think they will do it in the next generation.

The biggest difference between Pro and Air is performance. Obviously if you want more, get the Pro. The MacBook Pro integrates the Touch Bar, which replaces the function keys with a small touch screen. The MacBook Pro model costs $1299, but the higher configuration with 16GB of RAM and interior is $2000 more. Most people do not care about the performance or price of the model, and they should keep their eyes on Air.
As always, if you’re shopping for an Apple device, be sure to check out their new store. You get a new device for less, sometimes saving hundreds of dollars. A refurbished MacBook Air with 16GB RAM / 512 SSD can be bought for the same price as the new 8GB / 256GB model. Keep that in mind when shopping. Amazon has some great deals on used and refurbished models, and is another great place to get refurbished Apple products.
If you’re looking for the smallest MacBook and don’t need the performance of a 13-inch MacBook Pro, the 2019 MacBook Air is a smart laptop for light computing like writing, browsing, and watching videos. Just don’t expect him to excel at heavy lifting tasks like video editing or gaming.
MacBook Air is on sale on Amazon now, you can get the $949 model, or the 256GB SSD model for $1099. Both are great gifts, just be careful if you buy a library for your needs. The new MacBook Air is built on the 2018 refresh, but includes several improvements and price drops. But saving money comes at a price.
Macbook Air 1.6ghz I5 (true Tone, 2019)
Most of the new MacBook Air will remain the same. It retains the same basic design, color options, two Thunderbolt 3 ports, and Touch ID. Although the details are the same – and for the most part, the function.
Apple uses the latest operating system and when going back and forth between the 2018 and 2019 models the difference is easy to see. The new model is no different from the latest MacBook Pro and is smoother and quieter than the 2018 MacBook Air.
There is nothing to change the elephant in the room, we don’t know if it will improve reliability.
True Tone is Apple’s adaptive display technology that adjusts the display’s color temperature based on the ambient light in the room. It compares the temperature of the light in the room to make the display easier on the eyes. Air conditioner users will appreciate this for extended use.
Macbook Air 13
MacBook Air 2018 is around 500MB/s in write speed and more than 1700MB/s in read speed. We have repeated the test to average the results we see with Blackmagic Disk Speed
When we ran the same test on the 2019 MacBook Air, the numbers didn’t hold up. The write speed is consistent, but the read speed is around 1200MB/s
It’s painful to see, but most MacBook Air users won’t notice the difference until they start pushing the machine to the limit. You wouldn’t buy an Air if you wanted a MacBook Pro, and vice versa.
The $1299 13-inch MacBook Pro with two Thunderbolt 3 ports confounds this comparison, but we’ll talk about that, and more about the new MacBook Air, in the coming days.

My 2016 MacBook has 900/1100 MB / s in the BlackMagic test, which is a 512GB drive. Both the MacBook and the Air use two PCIe lanes for the drive, so nothing exceeds 2GB/s.
Macbook Air (2019) Review: The Butterfly Effect
That said, 128GB is really slow in this case, SATA III drive can only do 550MB / s at most.
I wonder if the addition of the T2 chip has anything to do with this. Fraud on the fly causes writing speed to drop.

Well, that’s a big change in SSD, like 33%? Maybe it’s a new type of bribe
